How can i rip subtitles from an avi(xvid or div-x)

I recently bought a movie called memories (anime) , because i have a portable div-x player , i wanted with some friends to watch it . But I have ab error with subs when i extract them , i manage to find it in div-x form , but i want them (the subs) to extract them from div-x so i can use them.

If your AVI file is hardsubbed, then what you want to do is not very easy. But you might want to try a tool called AVISubDetector (http://web.etel.ru/~shalcker/).

Thank u very mach , i will try it (the subs are embedeed in the avi,they are not seperatly)
