SubRip 1.17.1 Crashes

i used SubRip for the past year , and the last time i re-installed windows , and installed SubRip again it dosn't open anymore.
it crashed before loading and i get the send/don't send error.
this has never happened before , even when i installed a fresh copy of windows in the past.i downloded the SubRip 1.17.1 from the main page btw.

i use WinXP proffesional. P4/3.0 with 512M RAM.

i have no clue where the problem lies , or what more info needed , so any help will be great.

Do you have hyperthreading? In that case, enable win98 compatibility for subrip

I am also getting an erroe on SubRip, it is runtime error 216 and after reading this reply, I changed it to 98 Compatibility mode, but still I am getting it. Also tired the 95 Compatibility mode. Please any help folks ...
