Doom9 logo's - Are there any?

After seeing some variations here, I have to say that my favorite is easily the original style joshbm created (Page 1, at the bottom)

I liked the shiny 9!

I liked the shiny 9 also. IMO it gave it a distinction that kinda made it stand out

edit2: If you use IE you'll see a light blue background... it isn't supposed to be there :)... use Firefox :D

Maybe try a textured somewhat thinner 9 like joshbm originally used

Doom9 could you confirm or add/replace your customer requirements ? :
• Not a lot of colors ?
• “Logo” / ”Billboard” kind of name ?
• No extra signs ?
• Unique front ?

Not really bad, but somehow I don't really like any of the suggestions with the nine styled after the "doom" font. Can't explain why, though. It just doesn't feel right.

YES! Definitely my favorite so far. When scaled down the 9 might be a little smaller in relation to the text, but that's just a minor thing.
This is a very simple and straight forward design. As simple and straight forward as the whole doom9.org site's look. The two would fit together nicely!

Me aswell. Never thought about writing the 9 as superscript - gives it a nice touch :)

Only thing I would change is making the .org a bit darker.

Yeah, that has some pizazz. The only suggestion would be to somehow make it more obvious that the 9 is part of the URL. A naive might read it as doom.org. Maybe shift the .org a bit to the right and lower the 9 a bit.

I think the "9" could be a filmroll like this:

and the tail of the "9" should be gradually changed to rows of 1001001010 to give people the idea of "digital video"...

I got the idea but I'm not very good in drawing by software (especailly this kind of "3D view"), let's see if any good expert can draw it out... :D

How about that?The 9 looks crushed.. with lines that bold it needs to be bigger so that it can be clearly identified.
