Hi, PROs

Please give me a link to read more about converting .idx and .rar subs generated by the GK family into text-based ones like SAMI captioning. Text-based ones are open to easy editing.

U may use Subresynch as a OCR and text maker but it's a hell of a job....

Hi,

There's no contest: SubRip is THE program to do it --> http://zuggy.wz.cz/

Just decompress the .rar and open the .sub with SubRip. A few minutes of work and you're done.

I haven't used SubResync before; perhaps its time I give it a shot...

SubRip is the program I used, but I didn't know one can open OCR script files in it. So, of course...
