Ok this is the situation. the movie is welcome to the jungle. It has scenes in the movie where they are speaking in portugese, the problem is the subs dont appear on the screen as forced as obliviously you need to understand what is being said. The target file I am trying to create is a Dvd-vcd complaint file for tmpeg dvd author. I usually use dvd2avi to create the d2v and wav and then convert with tmpeg plus. I converted with tmpeg but the sub did not show up. There should be only 10 min or so subs in the movie. I want the sub permanently on the movie. I have created a dvd workshop 2 Txt file while can be loaded in subtitle workshop. Need to know if there is a way of doing it another way from dvd to vcd. I have read the guides here but none actually fall into the catogory of what i am seeking. Another problem is if it does fall into the catogory it looks like i will have to learn about a lot of applications to go through before i see a result, you know what i mean. I am not good at using ifoedit etc
thanks
I appreciate any input

1.Install virtualdub-mpeg2 soft,it can open mpeg2 file;
2.Install vobsub2.23 and copy textsub.vdr filter and another *.vdr (sorry i forgotten its name) from vobsub's directory to virtualdub's
plugins directory;
3.open virtualdub load your dvd file in ,and add "textsub" filter ,
then your can add your own subtitle and design its display style.
4. After test your sub display ok, your can use vd's frameserver ,
assume out virtual file is "a.vdr" ;
5.load a.vdr in tmpgenc compress it to mpg ;
6.the last you can burn it with nero .
