I've extracted and converted the subtitle file in the *.sub (subviewer 2.0) format and named it as the movie file name and also put them in the same folder. When I play the movie from HD, wmp and wmpClassic works perfectly. The odd problem is when I burn the dvd and try to play it, all the mentioned players throw up an error stating it has encountered an runtime error...the application forced the player to terminate the runtime in an unusual way!
I have very little idea about the filters that is used to display the subtitles. But the question is why the players can play the same file off HD but not from the dvd?
