View Full Version : Scenarist 3.0 Subtitle Error

After importing a script and creating a DVD in Scenarist 3, I get the following error:

Warning The subpicture (stream 1 in Video Track "VTS04P01") is across scene break at 00:15:27:17. The subpicture will not display when jumping into the scene. Please adjust the subpicture start time or scene start time.

Does this mean that there are overlaps and can this be corrected in Scenarist or do I need to use a 3rd party app?

It just means that a chapter point falls while a subtitle is displayed.

The subtitle will display fine when watching the movie normally. The only problem is when you use the chapter button and skip to the scene, the affected subtitle will not be displayed.

So no adjustment is required if you don't mind this minor issue. I just leave it as is.

Incidentally, DVDMaestro actually cuts these subtitles short (and without warning too) so it's certainly an issue there.
