Removing Subs from a SVCD?

Is it possible to remove the subs from a SVCD?

Dunno about selectable subtitles but if these are "burned in" then you'll need to re-encode the video and remake the SVCD (=annoying and quality loss).

If they are in the black bars then you can use avisynth's crop and addborders functions. If they are not in the black bars you can still technically use this function but it will mean chopping off part of the movie itself and replacing it with black.
