Subs won't show

Hi
I've got a friend that has vobsub installed and worked fine until a few weeks ago. If jumping fast forward in the movie you can see the sub for a sec, but then disappears and won't show in the rest of the movie. Anyone?

Definitively need more information.
Did your friend do any upgrade on the software? In case that is so, which?
Does this happen with every movie? How many subtitle tracks does the movie have?

No, no upgrade. Yes, it happens with every movie. Only one subtitle track. The only new software he has installed is TVtool..maybe there's some filter in TVtool that's making the subs invisible?
