I'm trying to rip the Subtitles for the Bastard! DVD. Whenever it's going through, it's reading the words as letters. IE- Help is all one letter. And on top of that, it's ignoring spaces. I know this isn't a problem directly from subrip, mainly the original subtitles. The outerglow on the letters of the originals touch, so subrip thinks that they're the same. I don't know why it's bunching the words together...any help? advice?

well i think you are going to have a few problems here
but try this.
rip the sup file with vobedit
then import the sup into srt2sup
see if you can set the outline to black transparent and the sub background also.
save out the sup remux in vobedit and try to rip again
I am not going to say this will work but it might
you probably will get the sup files with the wrong start times but you can resync in subtitle workshop
or
maybe supremap can reset the colors in your original ifo
and then try ripping the sub
well it's an idea :)
hope it helps
good luck
