Problem with vsfilter 2.33 in win98

When i play a movie for the first time with Media Player Classic and vsfilter 2.33 it gets freezed, and when i end the task with CTRL + ALT + DEL, and play it again it plays fine, but if i unregister vsfilter and register again it's the same thing again.
Im using the non unicode dll.
Can someone tell me what's wrong, Thanks...

Try and disable "Pre-buffer subpictures" option under properties
To get into the properties go to Start->Run->(type in->)Rundll32 vsfilter.dll,DirectVobSub
now go to Misc and disable it
