Hi folks,
I created a package (in German but you can upgrade with the latest version from KPEX) with working SOX : You will find it here (http://daphy.unas.cz/?dir=files/audio/upmix_by_KPEX/), maybe this will help you

lol man . ok well i found another problem.
ok i moved about 36 wav files inot the upmix folder and clicked t he batch encode app but all it would do is pop up windows saying fiel not found over and over. so obviously its not picking up the filenames. are there any characters that should not be used with your app?

ok i think the thing is your app doesnt accept any spaces, cuase i took the spaces out of one and it picked it up. i guess ill just need to change all of them

Sounds like a problem with batch mode. I can guarantee that single file mode (encode.bat) accepts spaces, i haven't investigated the batch mode lately. I will look into it.

ok well another quirk i found.
ok i have 36 wavs in the upmix folder, changed all the names to those without spaces. wlel it ran and i saw besweet going through transcoding them all one by one but once it finished that it was done with no ouput. well i looked at the log and it said it did ouput to a tempaudio.wav for each and every file. it didnt evne go to ac3.
here is the log:
BeSweet v1.5b26 by DSPguru.

thats just for one file, but they all repeat the same thing
how do i change the output to ac3 for the batch app?

let me ask something. how does the batch file work? does it try to do all the transcoding simulatneously or does it go through one at a time? the reason i ask is if it tries to do them all at the same time, i would run out of hd space becuase of all the temp files. it comes out to being like 200mb PER file of temp files. so if i have 30 going, that 200 will get huge fast. I think what happened is that it tried to do them all at once and there wasnt enough space on the hd. If your app does each one at at ime though, I dont know why it didnt complete, I had to go through and do each one on its own with the encode app.

yeah but all im getting is its outputting to the tempaudio.wav file, i cna see it runs the besweet code only for 2 channel, its like its not running to convert to ac3. what should i do to change this?

still same problem
I read your first message about the problems ....
I made a very simple guide for using the Kpex method in Bidule.
Perhaps you can give it a try..... It's a guide for beginners.
