With DVD Rebuilder Pro and film source, is Force Film logic (like in DGIndex) utilized for FILM to reduce file size?
In the past, I would:
Dvdfab main movie
DGIndex (force film, if FILM)
Resize in avs to crop top and bottom
encode with HCEnc as 3:2 pulldown Yes. The source is scanned by DVD Rebuilder for pulldown flags and handled accordingly. One other unique aspect of DVD Rebuilder is that it also does this for hybrid sources (those that contain mixed pulldown and true interlaced). In other words -- you always get the most efficient processing.
A better way to process these sources is to reencode ignoring pulldown (rather than forcing FILM as in your example). Then reapply the exact same flags to the exact same frames after reencoding. If you force film you can get jerky motion in sections that may not be "film". It happens a lot more often than you think.

DVD Rebuilder adds all the tracks (audio/video) that you've decided to keep. If the peak totals of the audio/video would push you beyond the DVD standard, the maximum value is automatically lowered to value that would keep the disc legal.

Note: I moved the whole set of posts about key download to a thread of it's own, it's way OT for this thread.

Is there a way to boost the ac3 audio gain (ie: make it louder) using DVD-RB pro? .....maybe a hidden option(?)
Got several dvd's that are a bit quiet and I would like to try and boost them without having to demux/remux manually.

But here it is, I have been having alot of problems with BDrebuilder coming up as x264 has stopped working, So I'm going to get a new video card since mine is years old, I'm looking at the nvidia 520 fermi and the radeon 6670, My question is which video card in your opinion works best with BDrebuilder.

Sorry, but I'm not an expert on video cards. It might be better to get advice from someone who is more knowledgable on them.
I'm currently using an EGA Nvidia GT520 -- and I can say that the reliability is poor. I had to return one the day I bought it, and another just failed after only a couple of months use.

Thanks jdobbs, Maybe I should stay away from that card (520). It looks like I might have to wipe my hard drive and reinstall windows 7 64 bit, That's what I did last time then BDrebuilder worked, I did use a tool called Codec Tweak Tool but that didn't work and I also tried to disable all codecs except ffdshow but I wasn't sure how to do it.

I use DVD Rebuilder Pro 1.28.2 and CCE 2.7 (not the One click mode) and want to make a DVD5 of a DVD9. Everything works fine but the final size is only 4,31GB and i want it to be 4,33GB and edit min and max bitrate, so i found that one can edit the .ini file (hidden options) by using: CCETargetSectors=2260000, min_bitrate= and max_bitrate=
This didn't work at all, why?
EDIT: Just tryed to run DVD-rb as Admin then it worked fine!

@jdobbs
Is there such or similar encoding mode in DVD-RB like the CRF one in BD-RB to control the size of the output
by choosing a quality factor at first instead pf giving a specific target size?
I have hundreds of DVD-9s to be backed up with DVD-RB Pro but I want to keep them as full discs except throwing out some unused tracks and extras.
In most of the time I am using slow CRF method in BD-RB and very happy with the results! I just want to do some similar with DVD-RB.
p.s.
The last time I used DVD-RB was in 2005, so I have to take the time again to refresh my memory on it. :o
Thanks for any info.

Thanks for any info.Yes. Under the SETTINGS menu, and the encoder you are using, look for the selection that says "with analysis".

It is great, thank you! Due to the great news I am going to buy the Pro version and be a VIP member! (and elaborate in the program details):)

Have you ran the "Prepare" step first? You can't do that in one click mode ;)

Has it ever worked? Did you recently install the Xvid codec pack? It seems like that was my problem at one time. Frankly, you don't need to install any codec packs. FFDshow and Haali media splitter seem to be all I need :)
Don't ask me why installing the Xvid codec pack caused that problem. I have no idea LOL! I see you say you uninstalled all codecs. But I had to ask ;)

Sorry, if I drive somebody kinda nuts, but I still keep having trouble with an "error 1601"
http://s7.directupload.net/images/140809/temp/5jra8g3j.jpg (http://www.directupload.net/file/d/3709/5jra8g3j_jpg.htm)
I tried reinstalling bd several times, removed and reinstalled both ffdshow as matroska, searched for splitters to remove, as I was hinted before, but didn't find any.
I am really down and out now, since I tried DVD rebuilder and BD rebuilder for years now, and I never experienced such "unsoluteable" probs. Only since I installed my new PC, first time with 64bit and win7, bd will not work. But not with all Bds, some still work, like True Grit for example, some won't like The Medicus or American Hustle.
Can anybody help please?
btw: Thinking about it, I bought DVD rebuilder years ago and tested bd rebuilder now for quite a while, but having never donated, I guess it's nothing but fair to do so. Look out for ***, since *** is no longer aktive. ;-)

I know DVDRB hasn't been updated in a long time, but a lot of us still use it for DVD backup as nothing else can touch it for quality or the ease of using AviSynth as well
Is it possible to updated DGDecode to the last version which was 1.5.8 (I can then use the SSE version to squeeze a bit more FPS out my system), just installing the newer DLL over the old one results in a DGDecode/DGIndex mismatch error. Copying the matching 1.5.8 of DGInderx.exe to the main DVD-RB install folder does nothing as well. You still get a version mismatch error and have to go back to the included DGDecode 1.4.5 with DVD-RB Pro
I'm assuming that DGIndex is hard coded into DVD-RB Pro as I can't find it anywhere on the system, and copying it to the install folder does nothing
Thanks

The code to produce the d2v file is part of rebuilder.exe. You're stuck with the version that comes with DVD-RB.
I might make a ICL build of that specific dgdecode.dll.
