Subtitles quality?

Hi there, I have already ripp a few DVD with my subtitles, it works perfectly, but I am a little disapointed with the subtitle quality.
The text appears not good detailed (no matter which letters I use).
It is just like that, or it is something that I have to change in the Srt2Sup settings?
I would apreciate any help.

Most of the comercial subtitles are this way:
- main text with no transparency and one color, like white.
- a thin outline with the same color above but semi-opaque, that is, with a transparenci about 7 or 8.
- a external outline, thicker, with opaque color, like black
- transparent background

By including that thin outline you get an 'antialiasing' simulation that improves the results. This effect can be easily made using tools like paintshop or photoshop and creating graphic subtitles.

Yes, a good point. But did you see the subtitles generated by DVobSub (when you play an avi file)? They are very round formed, not the case when you make a subtitle with Str2Sup, I don't know why.
Anyway, I will take care of these settings for the next time, may be I can make them look better.

Hi,

Srt2Sup uses the rendering engine in Windows, some fonts will look better than others and the latest version of Srt2Sup a4.03 does have a 4th colour that can be used for AntiAlias.

I am looking into better rendering engines for my next version of Srt2Sup.
