I'm one of these idiots that converts my videos to VCD so I can play them on my standalone player. I use TMPGenc to encode. It used to be that if I had an SRT then Vobsub would load automatically and add the subtitles to my MPG. Easy..
However, a couple of weeks ago I replaced my motherboard and CPU and RAM on the computer where I do my encoding. (This was done without a reformat and OS reload because it's a company machine and there would be too much to restore). The first time I fired up TMPEnc it detected the new CPU and reloaded defaults. And Vobsub quit loading automatically, although it seemed to still work with Media Player (Windows and Classic). Now it won't load for those.
I then started to use Graphedit to add the subtitles prior to encode, although that seems to have gotten dubious as well.
What the heck have I done, and how can I fix it? Are there other ways of using the SRT, converting to a different format perhaps?
