I just donated $10 myself.
I have only made 2 actual successful back-ups since starting with version .28. I was getting stymied by that pesky runtime error #5 but that seems to be fixed now and I have faith that this program will only improve.
Thanks for the time and effort you are putting into this project. :D

Just paypal'd you $50, excellent program and getting better all the time :)
Worth every penny in my opinion, who needs instant copy and dvd2one.

DA I'm feverishly working on v0.45 -- I plan to keep pounding on this application until it's everything needed to do high quality encoding... I'll make it worth your investment. Thanks again.

Just sent my donation of 15$ trough Paypal. Also donated the same amount to "Eyes`Only" for DoItFast4U, ( I think I will be using DVD RB a lot from now on, so felt it was right to give a litle, before I forgot ;-)
Now I only have to remind myself to donate something to Derrow next time I get paid, as IfoEdit probably still is the DVD backup program I use the most.

Before the exit of dvd rebuilder i have used without problems Shink - IC8 - DCS - Clonedvd2.
I think that the problem with dvd rebuilder started in versions before 030 because i have found it at april 20th but i have not tried it before since april 2nd where all works well.
The dvd works well on the pc with power dvd 5 but on my philips dvd 612 it stops at the beginning of the first chapter and jump directly to the second chapter
I have tried with different movie and all has the same problem.
I have made some tests the last week with Kill Bill vol. 1 RC2 with dvdrb 045 - 041 - 039 - 037 - 031 - 023 and cce 2.67.00.23 trial + eccl 1.81 and version 045 with quenc 049. The only version where the dvd doesn't stop is 023.
I have posted on the dvd rebuilder forum of doom9.it
http://forum.doom9.it/viewforum.php?f=9
and i have seen that other people have the same problem with philips dvd case.

Hiya
Mr Jdobbs....interesting idea i read a few posts back......
HOW much would it cost to get my name on the menu ?? :-)
Ahh just joking. I have not used your program yet but its worth money for the entertainment value alone...i log on excitedly everyday three or four times a day to see whats been fixed/added and just to feel the excitement of being at a birth......of someting that will mark a milestone in our hobby.
One problem for me...i cant use paypal. Can you come up with a different method ? perhaps a post office box or something to send a money order ??
As i said i have not used RB yet but it really is worth something for the fun i get out of following all this...
Anyway enough people are singing your prasies , you dont need me to tell you what a great and fantastic thing you are doing .........and sharing it with the world......for free....its people like you who restore my faith in the human race.....(except for when you jumped on tota or whatever his name was ...but then you retracted that and apologized which shows us what your made of)
Even though you dont know me or ever heard of me its feels like your my buddy...i read your letters everyday ( awww getting all red eyed and teary now )
Anyway keep up the good work
Best Regards
Mark

I sent off $25 this morning :) . I'm very much looking forward to support for multiangle and seamless branching titles :D . While I'm at it, is there any kind of (rough) road map for DVD-RB?

from the menu, i would like to order DVD-RB with some sauteed "multiangle" garnished with "seamless branching," too! :D
at least, we are halfway through to v1.0 with the current v0.50 beta (if that's the way how jdobbs is counting :D). but isn't it amazing what this little program can do???

I sent a donation within the last 2 week. I hope you got it because I had to reopen my paypal account to send the donation. It was $10 from ..chav.
P.S. just checked my Bank, it looks like the donation was processed on 5/10, 2 weeks ago.
Thanks again for the great program

While wanting to make you aware I've sent $20 in appreciation for all your great work and effort, I am still very surprised...
I have been away just for a couple of weeks, [Ok want you to know I have been in holidays, in the beautiful Didyme isle, near to Sicily... :) I was quite sure indeed YOU were working hard, and so it was...] but what I see now ?
This thread was gone to page 6 !!!
Ok. Now it'll be back on page 1...
Hope it will stay on this place for long time...
Cheers

Boy, this thread tends to sink always back in the abysses of this forum...
Since I don't own acredit card, i can't use PayPal, so maybe jdobbs you could give me some other possibility...
I think you deserve some appreciation ( does this word exist ? funny language...)

Paypal works fine with a normal visa/whatever debitcard.
And no its not a creditcard, money gets drawn directly from the account the card is tied too. And with that said i gave $15. Not much but its a start. More will come as time goes by.

will those of us that have donated get some sort of notification that we are on the list to recieve the new betas?
jdobbs
17th October 2004, 19:55
You'll get it via e-mail on at least the upcoming version. One of the advantages of having such a small number of donators is that you don't have to come up with extraordinary measures for distributing like you would with a lot of volume. :D

Just like to say thanks for all the work you've done with DVD-RB. I've used it countless times with CCE to crunch films onto a DVD.
I donated on the 12/10 - $20.
Keep up the good work.

@Whitespliff
Do you like the "looks" of it? :D
Whitespliff
18th October 2004, 01:12
Do you mean the new layout or the fact that people who donated now get a private update for yet another updated (and better) version ;)
Rockas
18th October 2004, 01:27
The layout... of course... have you seen the about window? :o
Just a note... the "new" version are not only for people that donated money... but also for people that donated much of their time as beta testers and helping the support and development of the software. Don't make it sound like jdobbs is a greedy guy, ok?
by the way... love your signature :)

Plain and simple, sat down and thought about this. Has anyone else made a way to easily implemented CCE into a program that does re-encodes DVDr's so quickly and effortlessly. NO! So get out you wallet and throw some cash in.
PS- I must apologize that it took me to your mentioning of a VIP release before I got my act into gear but hey better late than never. And to tell you, great job man, keep up the awesome work. (just found a little comment box in paypal I'll make sure I use it next time.)

seems like the thing to do is post your contribution.....so here goes.
$10 is on the way to you jdobbs......
that might seem like nothing to some, but there is a significance!
I'm fairly certain I've NEVER paid for a SINGLE piece of software in my ENTIRE LIFE!!
you sir...truly deserve that donation, great work.
and now that I've given a lil bit....I can post to the forum and contribute, rather than just read everyone else's posts :)

Since a couple of days, I've tested this tool out. And so far, I'am very pleased with the results.
Best money I ever spend ,if I may say so.
