I'm using SubRip to make a backup of the Danish movie "Festen". When I'm processing the subtitles, there are too much spaces. It looks like this:

30
00:02:50,007 --> 00:02:53,602
I k wi l met je pra t en .
- Moet en wij de h ele weg lopen?

31
00:02:53,727 --> 00:02:58,323
Wa t z eu r je n o u?
- Het is een h eel ei nd .

32
00:02:58,447 --> 00:03:03,362
H ij is m'n broer, v erdomme.
Z eu r n iet z o.

33
00:03:03,487 --> 00:03:05,045
Ho u t och je k op.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Hi, there. Please, take a look. May be when you selected the caracters for every subtitle letter, you accidentaly put a blank space.
Rip the subtitles again and pay exactly attention to the caracters, you should make no mistake on this.

No, that's not the problem, i'm sure i did not insert any wrong spaces.
But i tried it with VobSub 2.23 and that program worked fine, so no problem anymore!

You should just refine the settings and it would work

Which settings do you mean? I changed some, but those did not make any difference

usually char width and char with difference, but I hadn't had to change them already for a long time. Default values always work for me.
