Being my first message I tried hard the search button, but didn't find anything about it, so...

In the old VobSub there was an utility called SubMux. Now, I tried to use it with VSFilter 2.32 registered, but the avi+ogg+srt mux process always stopped with a .srt error (submux could not load it).

Of course unregistering VSFilter.dll and re-registering DVobSub.ax solved the problem.

Since there does not exist a new updated version of SubMux, I wonder if there are any workarounds to use it with VSFilter.dll.

Try with AVImux_GUI...this tool can mux a video AVI + audio ogg vorbis + srt file for an avi container

No it can't. ogg/Vorbis-in-AVI is not yet implemented. Only MKV output is available if there is an ogg/vorbis audio source.

I use OGMuxerGUI as an alternative to submux. To my preference, it lacks a few annoying features that submux has: 1) Submux strips trailing blank lines in the .srt, OGMuxerGUI does not; 2) Submux strips font anc color controls from the .srt, OGMuxerGUI does not.

I'll try OGMuxerGUI, thanks.

Notwithstanding, I would love an updated 2.33 version of the VobSub "package" (SubMux and SubResync) to reflect changes in VSFilter.

Besides Submux not working anymore (can't load subs if VSFilter.dll is registered), SubResync doesn't support UTF subs. If demuxing a sub track from VDubMod or Mkvextract you have to remind to demux it in Ascii format.

Well, I hope there'll be good news sooner or later.
