i find the problem....i forget the surround audio mode... s you have multichannel + surund-list of bitrate ;-))

MMX ? why not?

Sirber

It's kinda hard to optimize a thing written in VB :)

damrod
21st February 2004, 16:38
optimize + vb = syntax error ....

:-)

next release will use activx dll i think : easy to encode with it...

maybe i can use it also in rmeditor_gui to retrieve more infos about rmvb files...

Sirber
21st February 2004, 16:39
hum...

If it works I might add it to my Delphi project. It would be simplier to manage than the cmdline producer :D

damrod
21st February 2004, 16:42
it's a dll in vb

the doc describe how to use it in a vb project

but i think delphi can use dll in vb...

wow, update so fast, thx! and bigger interface looks more beautifully organized! ^_^

btw, do you feel the three lines separating the three columns a bit unmatched to the clean interface? maybe cleaner without them? ^^ (just my feeling)

and seems all tools can't be accessed from tools tab.

use activx dlls mean like batch real producer, directly access the dll without dos window popup?

@Siber
Could you tell some examples of your experience of how and when do you use those avisynth filters?

damrod
21st February 2004, 16:55
the three lines... i seek to remove them ..if i can...

tools are differently...if you dlwd full release...remove
realbatch.ini or erase infos about path to the progs... it's stored in it..

if null then ask user to select path to the tool.. i want to add a good handle of light and full release

you may have a pb if you remove the ini : crash of the app if you click on a tool button : just launch and close app to recreate the ini... then it will work.. vb sucks sometimes :-)

dll : i think it will work like brp or rmfactory : a textdèbox will show the infos about encoding but there will be no cmd window..

Sometimes I use aSharp to sharpen some old animes that have blury lines, but aSaharp also sharp squares sometimes :(

in additional to the three lines, the blue highlight seems the same visually unmatched and redundant to the interface, remove it too may be more cleaner and beautiful, do you feel so too? ^^

about dll, it would be really wonderful if it works like brp! ^O^ the dos window style is really too "old". ^^

about tools, once remove .ini, and re-specify path of one of them, except the one re-specified, all others fail, need to specify one by one? T__T

@Siber
never use them!!! deceived!!! I thought you must use them very often so add them in your realanime... ^^!!

Sirber
21st February 2004, 17:34
If it was only about me, RealAnime would have still been at 1.20 :)

damrod
21st February 2004, 17:39
you need to specify for each tools...

you can also edit you realbatch.ini and add the pathn manually if you prefer

when you select for each exe and then close the soft... your paths will be saved in the ini...

which blue highlight?? you mean the selected lines??

h9903209
21st February 2004, 18:03
oh, really need to specify for each tools? because previous version don't need...

yes, that blue selected lines is not a single line, separated by that three columns into three parts... maybe would look better if the three lines disappeared and the blue selected lines become a coherent one.

btw, just find that if same filename exist, it cannot autorename to another when finished encoding, crashed at the end... T__T

damrod
21st February 2004, 18:15
it seems that my dos->windows name renamming function doesn't work good ;-))

yes it's a bit complicated... maybe i will release it with an ini file preconfigured ;-))

for the selected lines it's because it's three listbox instead of one...
don't know how to use one with 3 separate columns...

h9903209
21st February 2004, 18:50
oh, it's ok, it's not really that important... ^^

just one more minor feature suggestion: how about some shortcut keys? e.g. I really like MPC shortcut: simply press A to change audio when playing ogm; D for DVD; O for options: T for on top, etc... similarly how about each letter for each tab? F for Files; S for settings; C for custom filtering, etc? just feel troublesome to use mouse to press different tabs everytime... ^O^

Sirber
21st February 2004, 19:09
geez, h9903209, did lazyness took control over you? :scared:

h9903209
21st February 2004, 19:14
laziness create improvement... otherwise why GUI exist? cmd line is enough ^O^

Sirber
21st February 2004, 19:24
is cmdline not enough for you? You push free programmers too much  damrod might explode soon and ask for your money ;)

damrod
21st February 2004, 19:25
i will try to add vocal control....:p :p :p :p :p

:D

damrod
21st February 2004, 23:21
"damrod might explode soon and ask for your money "

what an idea!! i see a beautiful ferrari yesterday!!!

btw the 1.41 release will soon be available....

Sirber
21st February 2004, 23:51
you looks like me in early RealAnime ages :D

damrod
22nd February 2004, 00:00
lol

i want to have a stable release and then i will developp others soft...

i will only update the core/producer after...

damrod
22nd February 2004, 09:58
i have updating the screenshots...some sort of 1.41 release preview ;-))

h9903209
22nd February 2004, 10:15
wow, great improvement of encoding window style!!! much more beautiful now!!! ^O^

damrod
22nd February 2004, 10:18
listview....vb6 doesn't have the link to it... must add it :-((
that's why i don't use it before... ;-)

h9903209
22nd February 2004, 10:21
ic, then with this listview, is it like windows file explorer which allow users to adjust the display length of filename, time and msg?

btw, just notice "the shutdown pc at end" is tilted to right comparing to disable screensaver. ^^

damrod
22nd February 2004, 21:16
listview : yes ...

shutdown : i see that also but i will not release just for this bugfix...but for another bug.. test a batch encoding... :-))

h9903209
23rd February 2004, 00:42
ar... don't scare me... bug for batch encoding? I'm already using it for serious batch encoding... but don't notice any bug... what's it? T__T

Sirber
23rd February 2004, 02:15
Can I get some series sample of what you encode? full series would be apreciated :D

h9903209
23rd February 2004, 02:53
if it's divx/xvid, I only encode if I think the size and quality does not balance, plus no fast brilliant motion, e.g. rose of versailles; touch; h2

I must encode if it is .mpg/.dat, because no visible quality loss but filesize become 1/3 plus rmvb would automatically remove some blocks, usually some old vcd animes, e.g. just d/l God Mars, total 64 eps, each >200mb mpg, all reduce to around 80mb. ^^

damrod
23rd February 2004, 14:29
you have rose of versailles episode? miam miam... oldies but goodies :-)

damrod
23rd February 2004, 14:31
for me encoding in rmvb is for two reasons :

- ogm with two sub and two audio.... beurkk need only japanese sound with subtitles in franch or english...
=>350Mo to 100Mo if i use 450/1000 for video bitrate and 5.1-96k-cook for audio... no filter.... give me very good quality for between 90 and 125Mo in final size...

Sirber
23rd February 2004, 14:34
totally agree with damrod. Reducing 250-350MB anime to ~80MB with almost the same quality is totally cool :D. Need less CDR/DVDR :)

what's that "another bug"? please tell me... I didn't notice any bug when doing batch encoding...???

rmvb is really great in anime, however, it is significally worse than others codec when I want to jump play the video, e.g. skip 5 seconds, at least 2 times slower than other codec, hope this problem can improve later...

damrod
23rd February 2004, 21:18
sometimes when you encode twice the same file you have a crash : "file already exists..."...very strange but very rare...

Sirber
23rd February 2004, 22:32
if the file is in use, producer can't rename it. Might be the cause...

damrod
23rd February 2004, 22:37
i convert windonws filename in dos filename for encoding

after encoding i do reverse..ie rename dos.rmvb in windows.rmvb but i make a test : can't rename if the destination filename is already created-- need to rename it at filename_old.rmvb...

i will verify it again...

Sirber
23rd February 2004, 22:46
why are you doing that?

damrod
23rd February 2004, 22:58
to handle accents and strange names...better than rename source ;-))

works good :-))

in windows your files are handled in both windows and dos names (even in nt series...)
so i didn't really "convert" i use dos name for encoding the files..

Sirber
23rd February 2004, 23:40
oh

not a bad idea :D Don't mind if I borrow it for YS RealAnime? :D

oic, really clever idea!! I already wonder why your realbatch can directly handle filename with chinese character and other strange character while others cannot!!

btw, if detect destination filename already exist, then why not rename the 2nd time encode resulting file to e.g. samename(2).rmvb?

Sirber
24th February 2004, 18:08
with the "Dir()" function you can verify if a file exist :)

damrod
24th February 2004, 20:10
find the problem

if your filename is toto.avi... the dosname is ... toto.avi...
so after my fileexists test in delete it and then can't rename it :-(

btw i try to use the dll!!!

Sirber
24th February 2004, 21:54
yes, it's youe jobfile that sucks. Post it here.

damrod
24th February 2004, 23:39
strange : the jobfile works with producer.exe but not the dll?

kilg0r3
25th February 2004, 09:19
Clicking on the images and or buttons in the tool section -> Error message '... fichier introuvable' and application crash.

I downloaded the full version and checked that all tools (avsgenerator etc.) are in their directories.

damrod
25th February 2004, 19:55
check the realbatch.ini at the beginning : i store here the path of the tools... check there are correct....

else you can delete the realbatch.ini
after that clicking on the button/image will ask you the path for each tools...

damrod
25th February 2004, 19:56
you can add relative path ie : rmvb_muxer\rmvb_muxer.exe instead of
c:\realbatch\rmvb_muxer\rmvb_muxer.exe

kilg0r3
25th February 2004, 19:57
thx! .)

damrod
25th February 2004, 20:22
if you want to try release 1.41...

here is the link for the exe :

http://damrod66.free.fr/site/inc/RealBatch.exe

btw in tools tabs don't use "test dll" button : it crash the soft... i try to use activx dll instead of producer cmdline...but it isn't working at this time :-(

Sirber
25th February 2004, 22:19
same thing when I tryed it :)
