I remember a slogan saying :

Why wait for version 2, if you can release a beta one :D

I am sure this is gonna be a killer app for most of us, because VOB-ID authoring is a real pain in the butt and if you could ease it just a little,

"Jesus will love you more than you will know." :D

Any news on the release date ?

Thanks

SceneAid RC2 (Build 0.9.0.2) is now available to the public

A new site has been put up that will house Sceneaid from now on. (http://www.sceneaid.com) All future changelogs / updates will be posted up there...

Please remember this IS A BETA BUILD so remember to report any and all problems you may encounter.

Also please check your project over before burning (dvd-rw might be good)

Only post intelligent problems/questions. I don't really wanna see a load of "why didn't my....... work" without some more information :)

It seems you are a night man too :)
First a big thanks for the wonderful work, it is going to save me a lot of time and eye strain

OK, I don't wanna call it a bug, but this is what happened:

I am backing up Aliens (part 2) and the main move is in VTS-02.

It has 31 PGCs from which the first 2 PGCs are the special edition and standard edition. PGC-03 to PGC-31 are some other stuff.

I successfully generated the script by SceneAid, it identified all the VOB-IDs and their corresponding audio files (2 audio file for each).
(Surprisingly to me it also found m2v files which are garbage and didn't need any CCE and beautifully showed them as inactive entities in the list, nice work  )

So I imported the script into Scenarist and everything went smoothly, no complains  I also checked that I didn't have any still audio.

When I hit the start button, it gave me the following message:

Aspect Ratio<4:3> in this PGC<VTS2_Title3_PGC3> is different from the one<16:9> in Title:<VTS2_Title3> VTS:<VTS_2>

I should mention that the whole project is a 16:9, I mean in my demuxed directory I only have one VTS folder, which of course is VTS02, and it is a 16:9

My guess is, PGC3 looks like an "extra" program chain rather than a "main" movie (it is only 1 minute), SceneAid has assumed it is a 4:3 video (like most of the extra features of a DVD), thus the error message.

I tried to fix the problem but I could not find anything that CAN be changed within the Scenarist. Everything related to ratios was grayed out so I couldn't modify them.

So I deleted VTS2_Title3_PGC3 from Scenario Editor and hit the start again, this time it gave me a lot of these errors:

Error The Color Palette in the cell<VTS2_Title1_PGC1_PG45_C1> is difference from the reference cell "VTS2_Title1_PGC1_PG1_C1".(PGC:"VTS2_Title1_PGC1"("Title:<VTS2_Title1> VTS:<VTS_2>"))

I checked the reference cell and it was a dummy track that was created by SceneAid to replace very small VOB-IDs that were used in PGC03 to PGC31 of the original ifo file (the track is called VTS02V66C1-dummy)
I checked the track in "Track Editor" and it showed that a 4:3 file was used : dummy_4_3_data. Again, the project is 16:9

Just to clarify the error more, another one was:

The Color Palette in the cell<VTS2_Title31_PGC31_PG2_C1> is difference from the reference cell "VTS2_Title31_PGC31_PG1_C1".(PGC:"VTS2_Title31_PGC31"("Title:<VTS2_Title31> VTS:<VTS_2>"))

in which <VTS2_Title31_PGC31_PG2_C1> links to VTS02_V82_C1 which is inside a dummy track created by SceneAid, whereas "VTS2_Title31_PGC31_PG1_C1" refers to VTS02_V56_C5 which is a real cell. I should add that all the links and references are right and they match with the information that I get from IfoEdit.

OK, I guess bitching is enough :scared:
Thanks

Well that's a new one...

Zip/Rar up your Sceneaid.scp file and email it to me....

I've experienced the palette error before.. thought I fixed it but lemme double check

Both should be fairly easy to fix

Ah the joys of betas :)

I'll take a look at the error tonight as soon as I get home.

The VOBID will be dummied if it doesn't exist -

If your saying it's not used AT ALL in your ifo, I'd like to take a look at that becuase it should only create dummy files for assets that are used in the layout but don't exist in the demux folders

Yep, theres no vobid 8 in my ifo of this seamless disc.7 id's only, but scenaid wants to create a dummy vobid8.

Build 0.9.0.3 is now posted on the site.

this build hopefully will address the errors you are getting during Script Generation.

Those of you who are having problems w/ the system generating a dummy file for a vobid/cell that doesn't exist please email me your sceneaid.scp and the .ifo of the VTS in question.

Thanks

Hi

I just downloaded the latest release from the website, but unfortunately I got the same error message as before.

Aspect Ratio<4:3> in this PGC<VTS2_Title3_PGC3> is different from the one<16:9> in Title:<VTS2_Title3> VTS:<VTS_2>

When I check the data tab in Scenarist, I can see a dummy_16_9 video asset as well as a dummy_4_3.
And again dummy_4_3 has been used in tack generation. :(

Again I removed VTS2_Title3_PGC3 from scenario, and compiled and so far the compilation has gone smoothly. Interesting thing is that VTS2_Title3_PGC3 is the first non-main movie PGC and it has problem, but also there are PGC4 to PGC31 which all are non-main movie and they don't cause the above mentioned problem  .

I should mention that I didn't get any color pallete related errors :)
I am sending you the script again ;)

Thanks

well a temporary fix till I figure out why it's linking the wrong dummy is to edit the Sceneaid.scp file and replace anything (except for the one in the Object=Data section) from dummy_4_3 to dummy_16_9

Hey D3s7

I'm reckoning the minutes till going out of the office: a new project is waiting me at home to begin using your tool

Just two doubts about SceneAid (the documentation is not clear enough for me) :

1: Doest it support multiangles ?
2: Can it handle Matrix ? :scared:

If both answers are ok, it'll replace my dog for sure ! ;)

OK, i installed the earlyer version , then uninstalled it , but when i got a message saying about this file is no longer being used, this time i kept it.But then i get the same error but with ErrorHandling.dll.So i install the earlyer version again, uninstall it and keep the files it says no longer in use.But i still get the same error but with sceneaid.exe
