This name has meaning to the original name's mythological origins as one poster noted. Untie can be replaced with Unravel, Unknot, etc. Actually...

Hm, that is indeed an interesting thought! May be GK Cinemaster would be even better...

Good point, Cinemaster sounds more commercial ;) indeed I can imagine a logo for it, the Gordian Knot logo inside a movie frame, ummmmm I will try to make one first version.

Hi len0x,

I actually like the rephrasing of that name:

Gordian Knot Untangled

Others like before could be changed to:

Gordian Knot Unraveled

Gordian Knot Untied

Out of those I like Gordian Knot Untangled best. Unravel doesn't really correlate with knots. However, Untie obviously does, so I think that's nice too.

Besides those, I agree with most here that AutoGK, GKexpress, etc. sound cool

"AutoGK" is the perfect name. At least that's what Doom9 calls it in his new guide.:D

That's the offical new name of the release 0.5 which is due tomorrow.
I have already installler for it and Doom9 was doing the guide based on 0.5, but unfortunately I'm unable to release it today, so the guide refers to unreleased version :)

AUTO-GK for sure!!

I think we have to take into considerations that this software will be used on different countries. So, in my language, Portuguese, for instance, it is very intuitive to use AUTO-GK. Simple, fast...

These other "Gordian-do-it-yourself-auto-mini-max-extra-cinema Knot" sound Ridiculous...looks like chemistry formulas...
the simple the name, the better it is to memorize and to tell other people on other idioms which doesn't know english.

Think big!
Think in terms of World idioms.
