Matrix Revolutions - any comment?

I stumbled upon this Matrix essays site (http://www.wylfing.net/essays/), and I'm amazed at the level of insight these essays have. They answer a lot of the questions using mythological and theological analysis.

Thanks a lot for that link Animaniac, I thought I had the movies pretty much figured out but they showed me a whole new layer to them all. I have even greater respect for the W bros now.

Here is what I understand of the three movies.
I loved the three of them, but the second one has fighting/action scenes longer than needed.

I believe that it is the Oracle who planed everything from the beggining. She is the one that selects Neo. The One does not emerge, he is elected by the Oracle. It is the Architect who ask the Oracle to find the One that would have the necessary conditions and that will have a big love for ALL humanity. But this time the Oracle cheates him and chooses another One. A One that will choose the other door because he loves a human being in particular. Before Smith killed him at the end of the first movie, Neo was a regular guy, just like the others. At that moment the powers are passed to him (maybe just the same way he learns kung-fu.

How does Neo stops the Sentinels? He is connected to the source (maybe with a non-wire conexion) and can give orders to them. If he gives orders, then the Sentinels will obey him (just like they obey the source when Neo starts talking to the strange face in the Machine´s city).

What is the purpose of the Merovingian? I think this is the most honest of the programs and tells the truth almost everytime (both the Oracle and the Architect are very liers, I believe). He is the one that tells Neo, Trinity and Morpheus that they don´t know nothing and that they are just following orders.

Why does Neo takes a time to decide to go to the Machine City? He sleeps and he probably dreams about the future (just like he did about Trinity in the second one) and then knows almost exactly what he has to do: go to the machines city and try to figure out how to bring peace by destroing Smith. I believe it may be the Oracle the one who gives all the premonition dreams to Neo.

Why does the Oracle not run away from Smith before he arrive? She had to let Smith see the future and we know from the Merovingian that the only way you can get "the eyes of the Oracule" is by asking her to give them to you. But Smith had to have the naive thought of a tiny girl to really make what the Oracule wants (that´s the purpose of the girl, I think). So Smith, blinded by the aim for power and by the girls unexperience, will not understand his choices. So he cannot see what will happend after he captures Neo.

In the first 2 movies we believe the agent´s objective is to not let anyone escape from the Matrix. But we then learn that the real objective is to make the war believable and give a purpose for the people in Zion. So I believe what Neo does is to copy this behavior and make Smith believe he is wining. Smith cannot infect Neo if he does not want (he tried to do it in the second movie and he couldn´t). But at the end of the final fight Neo lets Smith capture him, to finish the job the Oracle gave him.

Need more explanation? - Human needs expensive food to stay alive. But we have to believe this can happend and that the machines really can take energy from the humans.

My theory may have a lot of holes. But that´s why I share it with you. Fill in the holes ;)

I also have a theory that explains why I believe the Architect is a human, but I will write about that some other day...

Yes, we have to believe, because filmmakers want it :D
Next question would be: how machines provide food for people? Although people is in some kind of hybernation, they need some food.
Isn't much simpler to transfer food right into energy, without human 'assistence'?
When we go deeper and deeper in analysis, we will discover more and more holes, unlogic, nonsense. Therefore I rather skip it.
Movies are made primaly for fun. I always remind how people analysed lyrics from famous groups like Beatles and similar. They looked for some deep, hidden sense in every verse. Sometimes authors notified that they simple wrote what they felt, thought in actuell moment, sometimes said that even then don't know why wrote it. Not much difference with scenarios for mainstream movies.

Yeah, I was blown away by how carefully the story was constructed on so many levels. I can't wait until he finishes the last segments.

Good point, but you would need some kind of machine to convert food into energy...

In this way they use the "human body" as this machine ! ;)

But can the won energy from this process be more than the energy that is needed to make the food ???

Movies are made primaly for fun. I agree with you. You will always have holes and nonsense. But, like you said, movies are for fun and the reason why The Matrix Trilogy entertains me a lot is because it does not tell you everything and leaves room for expeculation. So I keep trying to find different theories and explanations. I enjoy it. Take the movie Terminator III as an oposite one (maybe that movie is Matrix Zero :D ). They leave almost nothing to expeculate. They tell you everything very clearly. I don´t like that. I like movies that can be commented with other people. I like leaving the theatre and having something else to discuss rahter than "did you like the movie?".

I don't think so... I agree with you. You cannot generate energy spontaneously. Energy must be transformed. We take the energy from the Sun, and the Sun loses energy because we use it. In the Wachowsky world there is no sun, so no incoming energy at all.

Pretending to keep humans alive by feeding them with their disposals is like making and infinite machine. Example: Can you use a battery to move an engine that generates electricity to charge the battery? If someone could do that it would surely win the Nobel Prize :) In adition to that, the machines in the movie want to extract energy from a system like this. Imposible.

But... (there is always a but) anyone could say that we are inside a Matrix and that what we know about physics totally wrong -> Infinite Machines exists outside our Matrix!!! And the Machines use it!!!
But, wait a minute. If Infinite Machines can be created, why use humans to do that job? :confused:
