I wanna make a removable subtitle stream for an OGM file, yet I can't find a way to convert Subtitle Station Alpha's SSA format over to the SRT Format. (VirtualDubMod will only accept this)

I have found a command prompt program that supposedly can do this operation, but I can't seem to get it to work! I know how to use Command Prompt, yet without knowledge of this program...well I'm pretty much stuck! I have found nothing else capable of converting SSA to SRT files! HELP!

All you need is Vobsub (SubRecSync):

U96 can do it too, even thought its not intended for it :)
(see my sig for link)

you can "import" SSA and "export" to SRT then, but
*a conversion SSA->USF->SRT is not the most straight way to do achieve this goal:)
*i'm not really sure how accurate the conversion is (how much style/tag/position stuff you can preserve) as i never did it. But both the import and export are improvable and will retain more info sometime in the future.
The question in this is about to what extent a rendering engine will support (nested ?) tags...
