Where can I get .ASS format?

Or a program to convert .sub/srt/ssa/etc to .ass ?

Will my srt to ssa program work? I checked a website that was suppose to have the ass format and everything but the link wasn't working.

you don't need to convert just for the sake of it :)

i have not yet seen a editor to implement the things in ASS that SSA can't do, if you have let me know. And if there is one it sure has option to import from a different format, at least from SSA as ASS is SSA with more options.

If you really want ASS, open your SSA in a text editor, change the version setting to 4.00+, adapt a few things (if necessary at all) and save with ASS extension. Then you're free to add all your kick ass features using that same text editor.
hell, i wished it were a bit easier to implement that stuff in a editor, then i probably could tell you U96 does it for you ...but sadly this is not the case :( oh, wait, you might want to contact Kaiou-sama, he is working on a generic ASS editor i think (called Medusa), but i don't know how far he has come by now.

Heh, I was just wondering why I was hearing all this stuff about .ass . Someone said its what -everyone- is using now. I'll stick with .ssa then.
