How to can i use DVD2SVCD & include subtitles?

Hi,

well i use this dvd2svcd package which converts dvd disc right to svcd to play on dvd player.
now in dvd2svcd theres a subtitle tab which can make it easier for people to rip and display subtitles on their svcds i suppose.

ive used it once and it permanently displayed subs while playback which wasnt exactly what i wanted.
the 2nd time i tried it while changing options around it didnt display subs at all.

any1 know what settings or extra things i must do to display subs on the encoded svcd upon request?

The most important prerequisite is a player that supports selectable SVCD subtitles.
Permament (i.e. burnt-in) subs are of course displayed on every player, but selectable subs are not supported by all standalones and are not supported by any software player.
vcdhelp.com might give you some ideas which standalones support this feature, and they also have test images for you to download and test your player.
