When I choose VSfilter to extend the image to 16:9 or 4:3 the usually black are created by VSfilter is now grey. When I check force RGB the effect is gone but uses more cpu.
The usual output colorspace is yuy2 and the hardware is a Sapphire Ati Rage 128 Pro. Since the output of the clip works fine in yuy2 but not in yv12, i assume that it can handle only yuy2 overlay. this however does not explain the behavior of VSfilter.
