How can I play subtitles with a RealMedia VBR video file that can only be played in RealPlayer?

I can't find anything that guides me on converting my subtitle file into a smil.

Yeah, I took a .sub file and opened it in the VobSub edit screen, saved it as a Sami (.smi) and the icon is a Real Player One, but I get an error when I try playing it or it together with my video. When I had another .sub I made it into the format that Windows Media Player plays and it played fine.

XML: No tag type near line 13: <SYNC Start=><P Class=> Everythingstartedhere <SYNC Start=><P Class=>&nbsp; <SYN

This the the error message I get when I try playing the .smi file.

u can use "subtitle workshop" to convert your subtitle in .rt file (real text) and u need to create a .smil file to launch movie and subtitle.

use the search button i will find a thread about this.
