Single and Double Quotes in Subrip

Subrip decodes double quotes such as "

to two single quotes: ''

I know this is an OCR issue, but if it spots the first part of the quote, why not wait until the next character is recognized before declaring this as two instances of '. Anyway the way around this is to postprocess the ascii subtitle file with an editor, but why doesn't subrip do this (like automatic correction of l, L, and I confusion).

once you OCRed the complete sub, before you save it, select <post-OCR processing>, there is a item <correct double ' to "> .Booah that's all the magic there is :)
