English Translations in English Movies .... ?

Hello,

I don't know what they're called, so I can't search for them on the forum .....

In an english-speaking movie (Bourne Identity), part way through the movie, some characters are speaking french. On the screen is displayed the english translation of the french speech. When the english characters speak, there is no text displayed. In other parts, they also display some location info like "Mediterranean Sea, 50 miles south of France".

What is this called, and what do I have to set to record this and then display this on the SVCD?

I've stumbled around here for a while, and it could be either Closed Captions or Forced Subtitles that I am after.

I will try some of that out and see if that works ... :)
