Change the font and position of text in textsub-plugin

the textsub plugin (for VDub and AVIsynth) takes ALWAYS the system default font, ignor the fontset instructions in saa, smi and so on...

u need to change directely the position color/size in the header of the subtitle use the tool "subresynch" bundle in vobsub package to made these changes.

not for me,
i have lots of styles in SSA and also style overwrite and it always worked so far. i use VSfilter Unicode 2003-06-18 and AviSynth 2.5.2

Maybe u use non-unicode or old avisynth ?

I used the filters of Vobsub 2.23(no special unicode version for this release) and AVIsynth 2.08 under Windows 2000. But I think it should not a problem that the vobsub filter is now 3 monthes old - it should have benn worked over one year ago.

I have used another utility to convert the .srt file to .smi and changed the fontset(also tried .ssa). Dvobsub worked(took the changes), textsub not.
But now I'll try the vsfilter unicode version. Should I first unregister the dvobsub.dll or vobsub.dll, then register the vsfilter.dll? Gabest released the new filter, but no doc.

I'm pretty sure Textsub handles fonts fine. First, you have to make sure the encoding number is correct (for example, I use 128 for Japanese, use an appropriate number for Chinese, this can be overridden with the {\fe###} tag).

The problem with Chinese characters being sideways is most likely because you used a font starting with "@" in the front, which is a sideways font. Try using PMingLiU (I think).

PS: The ass-specs.doc in the vobsub package is VERY useful.
