Suggestion: Extended DVobSub filename support

Someone made a suggestion here a while ago (a year ago or something perhaps? ;)) about having DVobSub supporting certain filenaming schemes for detecting subrips for a movie file, like:

C:\somemovie.avi
C:\somemovie.English.srt
C:\somemovie.Swedish.srt

..which Gabest implemented, thanks! :)

Is it possible to extend this to vobsubs too? In some cases, one might have splitted vobsubs (ie certain languages or language sets might be splitted into different vobsub sets), so that one could have:

C:\somemovie.avi
C:\somemovie.subtitleset1.idx
C:\somemovie.subtitleset1.rar
C:\somemovie.subtitleset2.idx
C:\somemovie.subtitleset2.rar

Also, it would be great if the naming scheme supported other characters than dots. Wouldn't it work if DVobSub looked for subs in all files in which the subtitle file name initially matches the movie file name? So that these would work for example:

C:\somemovie.avi
C:\somemovie.English.Directors.Comments.srt
C:\somemovie_English_(Directors_Comments).srt
C:\somemovie English (Directors Comments).srt

Good idea, since when making Xcd's I've to burn them at mode 2 and this format doesn't let me have 2 dots in the same file. I have to rename my subtitles usually like this:

Movie.dat
Movie.sub (This is 1st language)
Movie.srt (This is the second)
As you can guess I have a hard time knowing which subtitle is the one I look for. I can't see their names cause they are all seemed as MOVIE in dvobsub.
Or is there a registry method to include underscores ( _ ) to be loaded when I open the video file? (Dear Gabest, this question is for you..)

if its about .srt,
why not mux them into the movie file (OGM or MKV) then you can have as many languages, director comments etc as you want, and all menu-selectable in the payer :D and with tagging them you should even know which one is which language (given the player knows to display the tags corretly which is ATM a bit questionable for MKV)
