hey i've been trying to ocr with subrip but it seems that after i finish (and even before) the output sub comes up with a whole heap of spelling mistakes mainly being stuff like "HoId them off !". y is it that my subrip picks up the l's as being I's. They are fairly similar characters but still subrip's been around a while now and i'm sure others must've noticed this problem and reported it, does it happen for ne1 else?

SubRip can correkt these errors, in the output window (where your ripped script appears) click corrections -> post ocr spelling corrections -> correct.

yea but wouldn't they b just as good (or even worse) than the microsoft word xp spellcheck?
I revoke what i just said it seemed to fix the i and l issue but also there's an option that says Replace double ' by a " AND "" by "what does this mean i don't quite get it? Is there any option for fixing the unneccesary spaces put in between the characters?

That's done in Options->Advanced OCR Setup before the OCR.

It means just what it says.
