View Full Version : OCR not working on usual chars (subrip 1.16)

Hi there,
I've been using SubRip 1.16 quite a long time, with default options, but right now I'm facing a dvd that has some usual characters to me (such as "m", "n", whatever) that are not well recognized by subrip.

Example : the "m" is show in 2 or 3 letters : one vertical bar, then maybe a "n"...
I tried some kind of setting in subrip, but it's getting worse (!!), and I didn't find any related topics here.

As you can see on the following picture, characters seem pretty "normal", but subrip doesn't parse them well ?

I can provide sample "idx/sub" if it helps solving the issue ?

Is someone really used to subrip settings willing to try (or give me hints ?)

Thx, I'm stuck :(

you can try doing ocr through subresync after indexing the subs to a .sub using vobsub. I tend to get better ocr results with that.

Didn't know about that program, thanks a lot, it WORKS !
(at first it did the same result as subrip but I tried the "extend" button, that did exactly what I wanted !)
A big Thank you.
