Help! Adding subtitles on a backup

Can anyone help me out please?

I would like to add subtitle tracks on a non subtitled dvd backup.

In this case, extract the wav file (mono) from your movie, start SSA, listen to the speach and translate every word.
Otherwise, if you still have the dvd, rip the english subs (or another language), translate respecting times..........
