Re-synching subtitles

Ripping Ghost In the Shell, the subtitles come out ~8 seconds later than they should. I looked at the sub resyncher proggie, couldn't figure it out. Anyone?

I looked in the guide, it just mentions how easy the resynch program is to use... I tried altering one or two sub fields manually, but the rest don't switch timing to align themselves...

Try with the subresync bar in media player classic. Once you get the idea, anything becomes fixable in a few minutes.

Heh, I know that reviving a 2 year old thread isn't the coolest, but I have the same question and this was the only thread I found relevant to it. I opened subresynch from WMP, however it only allows me to change the timing of each subtitle seperately, without automatically adjusting the remaining ones.

I can't just manually synchronize EVERY subtitle. I want to resynch the first one only and let the others follow automatically, keeping the same duration between them as in the original, i.e. push all subtitles back by, say, 25 minutes...

Any help ?

Do you want to resynch the subtitle for good or just for playback? what format is it in?

I want to resynch it for good. It's in sub/idx format.

ok, go to start, all programs, vobsub, subresync, open your idx.
Choose the language you need from the drop down box. Click once to highlight the first subtitle time, then click it again, to obtain a "rename" style box. Enter the new value(old value + 25 seconds). All the timestamps will shift, as you will see in the preview column. Then save as......done

Heh, I'll be damned, it works... My bad for not looking the preview column. I was looking at the first column where the values don't change automatically.
