Can I make SubRip detect ï properly? It works with german ä, ö and ü, but the thin "i" beneath the dots seems to confuse it... it actually detects .i. :(

Strange, never got this problem. When suprip meets an ' ï ', 80 % of the time, it detects a dot, a bar and the same dot. But since I tell him to understand the first dot as a ï, and the bar as nothing, it gives me finally ïï, which is easy to catch with post-OCR orthographic correction.

So if you give to the first dot the meaning ï (and not . as you seem to do ), it should work properly.
