What is the best subtitle player?

I always use microdvd for displaying subtitles, but I wonder if there is a better player for displaying .sub & .srt files.

And is there a player that when playing from cd, immediately starts copying the file into HD/RAM, so my cd doesn't need to spin the whole time and i can play movies from scratched cd's, without having to copy them first?

BSPlayer is the best for the moment for displaying .sub and .srt. Give it a try, you will love it.

All mediaplayers have various degrees of success with various formats of subtitles. Just turn off the built-in support and use Direct VobSub instead.
