hello all

i have a few subtile files and i was wondering if someone can help me in finding an easy way to translate a normal *.srt (or any other format )english subtitle to arabic.

i have an English -> Arabic translator. but i cant directly translate the srt file as that would totally screw the file structure of the file. i can however feed the translator a text file with 1000 english lines and get their Arabic translation. i still need to somehow seporate the english text from the srt file. i dont know how to to that.

after that all i have to do is get the arabic translation from the translator and replace the original english text from the *srt file with the arabic one.

i need you all to help me in poining the tools that help me in doing the above. i am new to all this

thanks

PS arabic text is from right to left. hope that does not cause any problems.

PSS any kind of help is highly appriciated

open the srt file in xcell as a fixed size coloumns, adjust the coloumns in the provided preview.

Copy the coloumn that contains the text to a text file, feed the translator and paste back the result to the 1st cell of the text in xcell. As long as the translation does not spread to the next line u would not have any problem.

Report back if u have any problems. I ll be more than happy to help.
