joining subtitles for a dual sided DVD rip?

Hey, I did a rip of Das Boot which comes as a double sided DVD. Not dual layered, but double sided. For sake of convenience I decided to merge the entire rip together and everything has gone fine except for the subtitles. I used DirectVOBSub or whatever comes with Gordian Knot by default to extract them, but I need now someway to merge the subtitles for side 1 and side 2. Anyone have ideas on how to do this?

never mind, I think I solved my own problem reading another post, turns out there's a utility called Vobsub Joiner or something, I think that will do what I want it to.
