View Full Version : joining subtitles: find the proper starting time for Input 2?

Well, I want to hardcode subtitles to a movie that spans over 2 DVDs.

I'd like to join both subtitle rips from DVD 1 and 2, which I got with VobSub.

Now VobSub Joiner asks me for a timepoint where Input 2 should begin.

How can I find this value most precisely?

Cool, I'm looking for the same thing too.
Anyone got answers?

its a two case scenario here actually.

Lets assume that the 1st movie is 1:30:00.00 long
2nd movie starts right at after the 1st stops. So its offset would be 1:30:00.00.

for the 2nd scenario we will assume that the last 5 seconds of the 1st movie are replayed in the second one. In this case sutract the 5secs and give an offset of 1:25:00.00. Now determine which one is yours and act accordingly.

Excellent, it worked!
Thanks so much.
I just opened VirtualDub and figured out the end of the first part. Then, I put that into the timepoint.
Everything is in sync now. COOL.
