How to force VobSub subtitles to stay longer on the screen?

I have some parts of the subtitle that are displayed very shortly then disappear.

Is there a way to force the filter to show a given subtitle at least one second on the screen?

You can modify the subs times using SubResync So that they stay on longer.

That doesn't seem to work with genuine vobsub subtitles, does it?

Hum... now you got me thinking about it and i can't test it right now because i am at work.. I thought in SubResync there was a start and stop time fields you could fill out and they even appeared for Vobsub files.. I do know that i think if vobsub can't find an ending time for the subs they are only displayed for like 2secs is all..

What about subtitle workshop? It has a fix subtitle timing option, you can specify minimum and maximum subtitle lengths.
