Strip subtitles

Hi everyone.
I've striped a movie with 6 subtitles.

I've leaved only English and Italian, but when I try to change, I discovery that it's impossible.

Even I see the ID of subtitle in my DVD Player (english, italian) I see only english.

Analyzing with Ifoedit, it's all ok: I've 2 subtitles, but I can't jump to the second.

What's wrong?
I've striped WHILE remux the video track, with Ifoedit 0.95.

How I can strip correctly only language that I need?

During the remux I've checked the "Adjust Vob-Unit pointers" and "Adjust Audio/subp poin.".

Mhh... It's very VERY STRANGE.

I've striped ONLY my language subtitles, but there are STILL english subtitles!!!

If I can modify the movie ratio, I can see my language subtitles (but with H/L incorrect ratio).

When I change the H/L ratio, I see the english subtiles, but I HAVEN'T striped english subtitles!

Well, If I open the IFO, there is ONLY one stream of subtitles, not TWO.

If I open the IFO with SubRip, the SW tell me that there is ONE subtitles stream, but when I press "VERIFY" it find another subpicture stream named "00 - ???"

I've ripped this stream, and there are the english subtitles!

Well, folks, how I can eliminate this stream, if IfoEdit can't view it?

Also VObEdit views 2 streams!
IfoEdit only 1.

Sorry for my bad english, but I'm sure that it's enough right.

Ok, I've killed the english subtitle stream directly in ripping.

Now, I've the same problem: when I change the ratio of movie from 16:9 to 4:3 (or "unspecified"), I can't see any subtitle.

If I re-change the ratio (same IFO!) in 16:9, I see the the subtitles again...

I've noticed that when the movie ratio is 16:9, in the subpicture row, beside the ID, there is:
Subpicture 1: "My language" (2bit rle) (ID: 0x21)

When I change the movie ratio in 4:3 (ONLY THIS!) I see:
Subpicture 1: "My language" (2bit rle) (ID: 0x20, 0x21)

Well: what's the difference between (0x20, 0x21) and (0x21)?

How I can change movie ratio in 4:3 without change the subpicture ID?

each sub stream has a set of flags that r used to determine if the stream would be used for a given screen ration. Obviously the stream u r interested is set to not visible when in 4:3.

If u click on the PGCIT u will see each subpicture with its attribute. Its a big negative number.

0x20 is the code for the 1st subpicture, 0x21 for the 2nd. When u see

Subpicture 1: "My language" (2bit rle) (ID: 0x20, 0x21)

it means that the title is authored with Scenarist with languages and there is a language menu for it.

In this language the stream is the 1st and default choice whereas for the other languages it is 2nd. It is a rather complicated matter and I am not sure if I am conveing it right.

Thanks for explaning. Now it's more clear.

But, I must find a way to change this flag, and view my subtitles even in 4:3...

With IoEdit I'm be able to change the parameter, but... what number I can put?
What's the algorithm?
Are you sure that there is not any SW that can recalculate for me?

u may open any commercial dvd and check the codes. I dont know any sw to calculate this for u. Bare in mind that every stream position has its own. Sorry I dont have one available right now to provide.
