Hello, this is my first posting here although i've been reading this forum quite some time.
The problem : I have not been able to make vobsub 2.23 to work with the buffy season 1 & 2 dvd. When i open the .ifo file, it shows the subtitles available, but after i press ok, after indexing/processing, it's simply show nothing. All the subs are 'not detected'.
Previously i use vobsub v2.14 and have managed to get subtitle done by using "i've stripped the source file and cross my finger". But now since the button gone in the newer version, although gabest said in the other post that the function is now implemented in the "ok" button, it still doesn't work like the "i've stripped..." button. The prove is the buffy season 1 & season 2 dvd. BTW, with vobsub v2.14, the buffy season 1 & season 2 subtitle will only work if i use the "i've stripped..." button. If i use the ok button, vobsub just crash.
And i'm not the only one getting this prob, i just saw someone posting the same problem as i am. Any help is appreciated.
Also, can someone give me the url to older version of vobsub (preferably below version 2.20) ?
Thanks.

If you are trying to rip certain episodes out of the dvd and have them be there own then the easiest way to do it is in SmartRipper/vStrip/DVDDecrypter what you use make sure you look at what Angle and vob/cell id you are ripping out.. and then in the vobsub window on Top right chooose the Chain (which is the angle) and then only have the vob/cell id's that you ripped in the right hand list box at the bottom and then hit ok.. It took me a little while to figure out this new one also when workign with anime episodes like i do.

You also might find an answer to fix this problem in this thread if you are doing this method..

I ripped the whole movie, not some episode. In VobSub the right program chain is selected (actually it's the dedault one - #1), but I still get "Not detected" on all places. And empty files. Please, help !
