Hi.
I just encoded my first two movies using removable suntitles. However I have exerienced the following problem :
When I playback the movies and DirectVobSub loads to display the subtitles, the picture quality is aweful. The picture is blocky and you can see thin vertical lines throughout the whole picture, as if it is "melting" or something. I then removed the subtitle files fom the movie folder to see what will happen and when I played the movie again (this time without DVobSub loading) VOILA ! the picture quality was good. I figured that this is not a problem with the encoding of the movie itself, cause it only happens when DVobSub plays together with the movie. Anyways, that was the 2.03 version of DVobSub. I downloaded and installed the 2.23 version, and it looks like the problem is now gone. However, what I want to ask is whether that was a known problem with version 2.03 and it was fixed, cause I don't want to encode all my movies with removable subs and then find out that the some future version of DVobSub causes that problem again.
