I have encoded the middle part of a movie, however, VobSub extracts subtitles for the whole part of the movie.
I have learnt that I can use VobSub Subtitle Cutter the trim the beginning and ending part of the subtitle, but it's difficult to make it synchronized with the video.
Could anybody please tell me how to solve the problem?
Thanking you in advance!

When you are doing your ripping with smartripper or vStrip or any other ripper.. Write down what VobId/CellId you start and end at .. So then when you are ripping in VobSub only keep those on the Bottom Right Side list box. this will make Vobsub rip only those subs sections out.
If you don't have the DVD Anymore then you can edit the subs in SubResync. Find where the first sub starts like 24mins in if its like a Anime or something (Easy way to get this is load up the Vob file in Dvd2avi hit F6 to get the statistic window up and then move the slider around and back to the beginning to give you the time position) And subtract this time from where the subs start.. It will then make the other subs in a negitive time. then when you save with SubResync it won't save those subs with a negative time.

Thank you for your reply. There is still one problem -- DVD2AVI does not show the time in millisecond, so the subtitle may still be a little bit out of synchro. Is there any ways to address the problem?
Thanks!

Grab the attachment in this thread that will show miliseconds in Dvd2avi
