The last version of subrip ( 1.13 ) creates srm files for each vob parsed. I presume it's a sort of index, and it helps when you have to parse several times the vobs, for example for making different languages, because if the first pass go to the same speed, the other are a way faster, and a lot less demanding for the hard disk.
Now my question : since it is really helpful, could it be possible to create these files when the DVD is ripped, with DVD decryptor or SmartRipper ? Or does it need a too complex analysis of the vobs to be done while ripping
