Hi!

I have ordered a dvb-c card to capture digital cable TV. I wonder if it is possible to rip the subtitles and convert it to DVD-format? I have not found any info how to rip subtitles from a PVA file.

If you think about the subtitles transmitted over some teletext page, then you can try to play with GraphEdit and the VBI filters, to filter some teletext page to a readable form. But how to get the timecodes out of it?

I think I may have found a tool that can convert pva subtitles to sc/sub/srt and ssa subtitles with timecodes.
ds.jar is an java application that can do some nice stuff.
