SubRip command line?

What exactly do you want to automate?

Hi,

I can give input:
1. One subtitle language to rip.
2. Where to put files.

What is needed?:
1. No user interaction.
2. Save as BMP and text in Phillips Designer compatible.
3. SubRip must find what colors are best for the subtitles, original colours is better :).

I have a bug or comment, sometimes SubRip can't set the correct times of subtitles, i mean, the Text stays forever in movie, until another sub replaces it.

It's good idea for graphical outputs, but I think for some 1.2x version at first.

It appears if vob subtitle stream contain none stop times.

in that case u can give it a 3sec default duration or better a user selectable duration.

Yes, i currently have a tool that can convert "SubRip" Phillips Designer text & bmps to AviSynth Subtitler.dll (from DVD2SVCD), and i was thinking on "patching" the time like you say.

When i have finished my conversion util, will be posted on forum for share :)

It's already available in SubRip under Time Correction, 2 alternatives.

For those of us working on complex seamless branching titles where we have to demux by vobid, CLI would be extremely helpful! As of now, I have 52 pairs of .idx/.sub pairs i have to subrip in order to put together the title i'm working on. For normal titles, using subrip in GUI mode is great, but for something like this, painstakingly cumbersome.

But still, your program is the best and so I will get to work subripping these 52 sub tracks! But if you could add CLI with .bmp support and .sst output.. that would be awesome!

I'm just doing on another thing (original DVD colors support), after that I will add the automatize (in 3-4 weeks?) in way of combined CLI/*.ini.

And just to let you know - If you have the .idx/.sub files, Gabest's SubResync can output sst subtitles too. Adding automatize to SubResync would be IMHO simplier (it's mainly automatized now :-), give it a try.

OK tested SubResync. It doesn't seem to be able to do drop frame. Although, it does seem to already have original DVD sub colors built in, which is definitely nice. Contacted Gabest and he said that SubResync is not longer being developed. So I guess the rest of us will wait patiently (*foot tapping*) until you can get us CLI functionality.
