Inserting subtitle to original menu

I ripped a DVD9 files (VOB and IFO, BUP etc)
and i want to add a subtitle to the movie
and burn it to DVD5
I want to have the original menu and features
Can i do that ?
What're the softwares?

How are you hoping to add the subtitle? Is it a subtitle stream you want to add? A burned in subtitle on the video?
