Standalone subtitles player software?

Is there any standalone subtitles player for Windows? I want to play DivX/XviD subtitles (VobSub's .sub, .idx) while playing SVCD either using WinDVD or PowerDVD or mplayer. I don't care whether the subtitles appear in the same window as the movies or in separated window. Note that I'm talking about downloadable DivX/XviD subs not the SVCD's subs. Any ideas?

You can try to use Media Player Classic http://vobsub.edensrising.com/ you should be able to select other subs.. or another program you can try is www.dvdsubber.com but i don't know if it loads idx/sub files but you can always convert them to ssa or srt with either SubResync or SubRip and it should then use them.

DDVSubber is what you need. Other program is Subviewer, but I think that old version 2 is better than V3. Both handle text (ASCII) based subs.
